Did you notice that Jim Stewart the legendary founder of the Stax label in the 60s had passed away a couple of weeks ago AV? A full thread there for someone to start.

I was sure I had a Specials single, and wanted to play it after hearing about the untimely death of Terry Hall, but couldn’t find it. It doesn’t matter really. Any mention of him or his records tales me back to 1980 and lunchtime discos at my junior school.

“Much too young”
It is confirmed that Terry Hall was stricken with pancreatic cancer. I was not aware of the terrible back story about his childhood suffering either. The times obituary even has a video embedded. I have never seen that before in the paper.
