A new thing which I’ve noticed coming in to football is others players congratulating the player for “winning” a pen .Now are they saying well done as in the case sometimes you conned the ref or well done you got fouled Which .Yellow card for such practice same as removing shirt .What do you think ?

it's the same in rugby these days. Not very attractive imho.
Why not, the game's not stupid enough as it is.

Dolts up for sainthood because they can run and kick a ball at the same time when 90% of their time is spent failing to do their job.

I mean, was that REALLY the best time to test his Jonny Wilkinson impression on an audience?

Is that a new thing ?
I have a cunning plan!! All football matches should be played without the officials because everyone blames them for everything. The players, the coaches, pundits, media, fans etc all blame the ref, so no more. Away with them!

However, I just wonder at what point a young trainee at a professional football club is told to pressure the referee. When we were having coaching at school by pros' from the local clubs, the main message was always the same; you never, ever argue with the referee. I wonder when that changes?

I’d say after do you remember players were transferred for a few sheets of tin to cover the standing area .
and played with heavy leather balls covered in dubin
not light as a feather ones
I say why not try a season in the lower leagues where the offside rule isn’t applied.
It’s so contentious it may as well be got rid of and that means you’ll see a lot more goals and certainly never a nil nil draw.
Then you will get goal hoggers
But it’s still equal for both sides. Try it for one season in the National League.
Baz; "Then you will get goal hoggers."

Then you leave someone back to mark them.

As an aside, we used to call them 'baby-liners' :-)
Would there be disadvantages to allowing play to continue if offside were flagged but no goal scored?

Play could be re-started with a goal-kick if a goal were scored following an offside decision.
