I don’t care what other people do, I stopped sending cards a good few years ago.
People want to donate to charity instead, fine.
People want to just stop sending them, fine.
People want to send them, knowing they won’t get one back from me, fine.
This year I’m sending two, to elderly aunts.
It always makes me chuckle when someone says that.
Do they donate the exact amount they would have spent on cards? Which presuming they dont need to be posted could be a couple of quid if you go to Poundland!
My manager always says shes going to do this but i think its just that she cant be bothered.
I love sending cards and I love receiving them. To think that someone has thought of me to send a card makes me feel special. I know it is expensive. In my opinion it is a cop out as I donate every month to charity not just at Christmas
Huh ! It's the last remaining contact I have with some. If they do that it'll be pot luck whether they get a card next Xmas. Let 'em send the card and find cash for charity too. After all, it is (will be) Xmas.
If you buy charity cards then you are donating to charity so that excuse does not fit. We just send to elderly relatives and those living abroad and they are always charity cards
