Welcome new Ed,

Hopefully a change for the better - as they say, I believe in Britain, 'the jury is out'?

Ed's interpret in different ways ...

As a new member, I have taken time to read the Site rules and also recent pronouncements on AB Suggestions ... I am definitely confused by this very recent statement ....

http://www.theanswerbank.co.uk/AB-Suggestions/ Question295509.html

Put simply, it does not seem to being applied ... even by the old Ed?

I suggest / would wecome clarification by the new Ed.

Maybe prospector is the old Ed???
or the new ed ????????????
I agree China Doll.
This is a Q&A site some discussion about the question is all right as the ED has said before, but questions 100s of answers long on suggestions after the ED has requested us not to, is taking the pi$$ and you all know it! All you are doing is spreading chatterbank all over the AB!
Its really up the new ED to let us know what is acceptable. I personally think if single long chatty threads on B&S are all right until the situation is sorted out. But the constant posting of really stupid questions is not, as the usual complaints of sensible questions disappearing off the front page is a valid one.

I would like to see a comedy thread where you could post birthdays jokes and post comical questions and get back some of the wonderful witty responses we often see in B&S.(I do not mean a new chatterbank)
At least have some respect for fellow answerbankers by not reporting perfectly good Q&As! all you are doing is stifling everyones right to freedom of speech if you dont like someones answer tell them why, debate it, obviously Im not saying dont report obscene answers. ;-)
FISHFACE, I second that. Couldn't you please hone that idea and then post it separately right here in Suggestions. Many more might want to "sign your petition", and it's more practical if it's on its own.

Maybe not just 'comedy'? Personally I've enjoyed quite a few of the "I just had to show you this!"-posts, like for instance when somebody showed us a recently discovered photograph of Mozart's wife. Not comedy... but so fascinating. Perhaps a "Wanna show you"-category - you go, FISHFACE, get to work on it!
You bunch of silly *******.
