My prediction:

Truss will resign soon and Just will become a caretaker PM because the party won't be able to get behind one candidate (waaaay too split) and there's no way the country would put up with another leadership race.

So Hunt becomes PM because no-one really likes him but at the same time, no-one really hates him.

for Just, read Hunt.
The main problem at present is ReesMogg. Imagine working with that creep! Get rid of him and a replacement PM might succeed. Javid for PM or General Election
RH at 12:13 Mon, the wording of the OP is fine. The question is who would you like to see take over from Truss... if she goes
noami24@1237 Mon, Larry the cat!
You could be right there SP. Hunt has nothing to loose really and he is a Globalist stooge so will have them behind him.

It's not going to be a comfortable ride for many though, still those who shouted down Truss got their wish so at least they will be happy!

//for Just, read Hunt.//
Nah, I read something else :-)
I wonder if they missed on a potentially decent leader in Ruth Davidson, she has a seat in the Lords now but unlikely to be interested. I always saw her as level headed and sensible. Also a better speaker than some.
he is a Globalist stooge

how fortunate that Britain has Sovereignty, then.
The idea of a general election would be to choose a government.
Certainly there should be one but probably won’t be
Ruth Davidson has pretty much nothing in common with what the Tories have become
boris, Boris, BORIS !!!
Boris and water canons together
//Ruth Davidson has pretty much nothing in common with what the Tories have become//

And therein lies the problem.

We have not had a proper Tory Party for many years. Cameron started the rot and the others followed on. I had hopes Johnson would return the Party a bit but his Missus had other ideas and we are where we are.

GE, get the backstabbers out of their seats and rebuild the Party. Kemi and Suella are good starting points for that.
Kemi and Suella were both in the running for party leader. But the voting members went for the Thatcher lookalike. How sure are you that this would change in a second election?
I'm another who has thought that Kemi Badenoch would have been a good choice. The whole process of the party selection elections seemed to me to be designed to produce an impossible opponent to Sunak. The membership didn't want Sunak - and nor do I, at any price. The man sided with the universities withdrawing Eng Lit. as a degree!

We know what politicians can be like, the whole thing could have been set up to shoo Rishi in.

Did you read my whole post or just react to the bit you want to jump on me for?

Read the last bit, it's quite clear really and I know you are not daft.
Think Liz should stay sack Hunt .Set up a department with four or five people to run the economy .There must be at least four in the party who could do that if not then include people from BoE .It’s clear shifting chancellors for them to learn as they go along is not the way to go. Other things need sorted and they are being bypassed to get the economy sorted .People are dying in their homes and on the streets because of the single mindedness of this goverment .
