Bhg, I quite like scruff wear. So does MrM. I love men in jeans as long as they are still in decent shape and he is.
I wear scruff-ware most of the time but not when I need to be smart; then it's a suit.
i love my jeans, bought from cotton traders, they have lasted well.
Marks & Spencer are critiqued for courting the younger generation but what else ca. they do? If they continue selling clothes aimed at boomers, eventually their customer base will disappear .

From what I’ve seen (in their menswear departments) they’ve carefully trod the line between the hip and those with dodgy hips.

Just nearly choked on my tea at that. Many years ago we, me and late OH, went into the Cottonn Traders Outlet in Altrincham and I said to him It's named after Fran Cotton, to which he replied Do you mean the woman off Eastenders!!!!
Naturally, I never let him forget it.
This is not good news for the countries all over the world where a lot of M and S clothes are made.
