what does this mean my other half has bidded for something on ebay and won when he went to pay it said the seller was no longer a registered user i am assuming they have been suspended just out of interest what does this mean somebody said that it could be for shilling what happens when they get done for that surely it is fraud do they get the police involved thanks

"Not a registered user" can refer to members who have cancelled their membership, or whose membership has been suspended by eBay. For example, a member whose correct contact information is no longer on file with us may have their registration suspended until the new contact information is entered. In either case, while the member appears as "not a registered user", he is not allowed to buy or sell on eBay.

A member cannot cancel their membership voluntarily within 6 months of the last transaction. This is in case there is a problem that needs to be dealt with.

In your case the seller's account has been terminated - there are a number of reasons why this could happen.

The police are not involved in cases of shilling.
