Just bowel cancers and pre cancerous bowel polyps.

So it wouldn't pick up a cancer which had ( for example ) originated and spread to the bowel from another part / organ in the body ?

Is it just looking for cancer that originates in the bowel ?
just bowel cancer
As far as I read on the instructions enclosed the test is for occult blood in the sample which leads to further investigation, not a cancer test as such.
Yes 99.9% of the time.
Cancers elsewhere don't spread to the bowel.
An Ovarian or bladder cancer might invade the colon, but that would be end stage and would have had symptoms for a long time.
Kits are basically for asymptomatic bowel cancer.

Thanks
I was just thinking about the cancers that men and women have .
For example prostate men - cervical women and whether cancer spread form those , would be picked up by the bowel cancer kits
NO.
Positive test likely to lead to a colonoscopy and if there are polyps they will be removed.

(Internal piles could be responsible for the blood.)
