misleading becasue the label didn't mention allergens. This may be in the wake of the inquest on the woman who died after eating something mislabelled in Pret. Perhaps that wasn't Pret's fault, but I think those who produce foods have to take more care over labels.

I believe the Pret case relates to a woman who died due to there being milk in the product (a sandwich I think) which had been made for them by a third party. The third party didn’t inform Pret that it had / could potentially have milk in it. This is obviously not good enough.
that's how I read it, ZM. In this case Asda = Pret as the retailers; John West = the third party, whoever they were.

I have no idea why there seem to be so more allergies around these days; but that's the way we live now, and food manufacturers need to play their part in dealing with it.
