On Ch4 now, started at 8.

I never really liked shop bought ice cream until Haagen Dazs and Ben & Jerry's came along. I did love the creamy ice cream cone from a van though....99 flake.

Real dairy ones like Mackies and Kelly's Cornish are so much nicer I think.

What are you favorite(s)?

We have delicious ice cream made in the village here, Tiggs.
In the UK I would buy Wicksteed Park ice cream long time ago. It really was the best ever.
Twenty odd years ago they stopped making it and seems the recipe was lost.
After much demand and an appeal for the recipe they've started making it again....bliss....not that I'll ever taste it again.
I haven't seen the show Tigger but it were always a 99 flake if we good, for me too. Mr. Rossi's ice cream were the best from his van, it weren't the roughest of neighbourhoods but no-one messed with Mr Rossi.
I'd like to ad Walls tried, but wasn't about for long on his route.

It seems the locally made ice creams are creamier and tastier than the regular brands. Carte D'or (however you spell it) does nothing for me. Not keen on Walls tbh. Just tastes wishy-washy.
New Forest Ice Cream sold less than ¼ mile from where I live (Hayling Island) but I've not encountered it outside Hampshire (obviously can be found in places like Lyndhurst, Brockenhurst, etc.).

I suspect it is indeed retailed local to the New Forest and surrounding areas.

I made some homemade ice cream once using the fresh custard method and it was delicious.
