Hi All,

I was listening to Bill Hicks last night and just thinking how sad it was that he died so young and just as he was really beginning to be noticed as well.

I was too young at the time to ever have heard of Bill Hicks so I was introduced to his work retrospectively but I wondered if anybody out there did ever get to see him live? What was it like? What are your memories and experiences of seeing his shows?

Cheers
China xx

Yeah, I have DVD's and Cd's and most of the books about him. I'm a big fan and he's something of an idol. I just wondered what it was like to actually be there.... I find him quite electrifying to watch and a lot of what he says is meaning ful to today too. So I wonder what it was like to actually see him perform/meet him maybe... I just wonder if he came across as the big personality that I see him as... (not sure if that makes any sense at all!)
Sorry China, I dont have an answer as I was only 14 when he died. He is a legend though, absolute genius.
Didn't see him myself but there is a guy called Chas Early who did a great tribute show called Slight Return. He might be worth a look...
