Our neighbor's have a child-minding business. They have a very large trampoline which they have put close to the adjoining garden fence. it must be about 9 foot tall.
The result is that we have lost any privacy in our front garden when the primary school closes till around 6pm.
The kids play football in the garden which results at times coming into our. The guy seems to think he has a right to coming into the garden for the footballs.
I am growing sunflowers so not happy with his attitude.
. Do you think there is anything in planning regs to stop the trampoline being put so close to our property?

I don't think so, to be honest.
Across the road from me, a neighbour has exactly the same problem. Trampoline and football goal net at the fence in the front garden, and barbecue and hot tub gazebo at the fence in back garden.
Complaints to council about constant footballs, noise, smells and children bouncing up and staring in her attic bedroom windows have brought no result.
Council suggested they could provide mediation between the two neighbours, so this might be a way forward, but unless your neighbour would be willing to compromise, it might not bring much result.
this doesn't sound like anything to do with planning, but your neighbour should be mindful of how their business might affect you and your privacy. Go and talk to them and hopefully, if you are both respectful, a compromise can be reached.
Trampoline related intrusions require a bouncer.
that's a good one douglas9401
I doubt it. But you should approach your local planning authority and ask them. What people here may think won't really help you. The LPA is the controlling body.
Ignoring the trampoline, is the business otherwise suitable to be based at their property?

There are many rules and regulations that they must comply with to ensure that their business doesn't negatively affect surrounding properties.

Trampolines are one of the biggest sources of work for A&E.
Does anyone know when the name changed from hobolines?

P.C. gone mad, etc.
If you don't get anywhere speaking to yhe neigh its about it, speak to your local council as there is the issue of your right to privacy and the position of the trampoline. Personally I'd have thought if they are running a business a trampoline is a huge risk..
