Emmie, if you change your mind and decide to try a Ricky Gervais series, 'Extras' is on BBC. Lots of famous faces in every episode. I've just finished watching it. There are three series of, I think, six episodes each and a Christmas special to finish off with.

i'm just saying " But wasn't it nice of Naomi to take the trouble to make a special post to try and interest you" is the kind of thing i'd say to my nine year old when she was 5
PS i think i have read most of the previous convos between you and emmie about RG. Sounds like i missed the one where she asked someone to find her an RG series she could watch.

Emmie of course can look after herself, she is a grown woman. I'm not even 100 % sure why you and i are having this convo - it was LB's post i objected to not yours (and i in fact DID say thanks to you, so i'm not sure why we are grumpy with each other :)) i'm not even sure my post was needed (as i said: people including Em can look after themselves if they think they are being patronised i guess!)

Khandro, it's billed as a Comedy/Drama.

I've watched the out-takes several times on Youtube, and still laugh.

I agree with you though, that there are some crude 'jokes' in the script that are not funny. Just as well we don't all share the same sense of humour, I guess.

The thing with the crudeness is that I've experienced that throughout my working life. The office banter, pub banter etc. Its just that it is being portrayed on a TV show and I'm sure many can relate to these situations in real life.

The pub scene in series 2 of Afterlife for example is similar to things I've experienced in the pub on an average Friday night!

I know what you mean, Tiggs. I worked in a male-dominated workplace for several years (now retired). There was plenty of crudeness bandied about and it didn't bother me - I just didn't find most of it funny. The men, on the other hand, thought it was hilarious. :0)
