After getting through this birthday party this afternoon with a broken foot and no help I think I deserve to spoil myself this evening .

Seeing Im fairly limited in activities I think I quite like the idea of a nice bottle of red wine, some fresh crusty bread & cheese,a big duvet on the sofa, and a light hearted funny film.

So,if you were being self-indulgent what would you do tonight ?

Hi. I'm spoiling myself tonight by taking my daughter and myself to see Robbie.... It will be her first concert [she's 9], so should be fun ;o} Hope you have a good night too PinkFizz.

Well PinkFizz, if I were available, I would treat you to an Indian Head Massage before you settled down to the very nice things you mentioned above. If I were one of your friends at the party, I would get you to rest your foot up, do the preparations for you and tidy up afterwards for you too. Apart from that I think your own ideas sound just right! Is it your won birthday party? If yes, I wish you a very happy birthday and more considerate friends ... they should be helping you with this you know! Best wishes and big hug! Hope you heal quickly.
Oh divegirl i went last night, was brill. We had a few a surprises - wont tell you and spoil it for you tho! We didnt know who support bands were they were basement jax and orson - also very good. Have fun wont you, i bet shes well excited? Also dont listen to what some security people tell you - if you want to take a picnic in you can but no glass, cans, cutlery etc.

Hiya Whiskey! Weathers lovely and sunny here too - perfect!

Im just looking at the kitchen worktop and debating when to start making all this food, blow balloons up etc........lol
Oh Pink, I did the bottle of red wine last night and regret it now!! Got a mouth like.....well, a mouth like god knows what today!

I think self indulgent would have to be watching footy on the tv or just putting me feet and and reading a book. Need a rest after 4 days of decorating! Just no more red wine for me - not till the weekend anyway.
Id get a redhot bath, get my jammies on, get all manner of goodies from the kitchen then sit and watch a couple of gory films with the lights out and stuff my face :D
Hi Pink - this may help you feel better. Had phone call from friend yesterday, she's fallen and torn the ligaments in her ankle and they've put her leg in plaster and given her crutches. She has three children 8, 4 and 18 months. Got there this morning to take her two older children to school and she'd tripped and jammed her foot against the crutch, just had a text from her in casualty and she's broken the toe on her GOOD foot!!!

But she's not giving a birthday party........good luck, thinking of you!
ps could the other Mum not help?
pps maybe one of the Mum's will feel sorry for you and stay when they drop their child off.
mmmmm lots of munchies (tapas style) bottle of re, feet up on sofa suggled under duvet and read a good book/watch scary horror film
