a) Do you personally have anything other than gutter tabloid tittle-tattle to suggest that either of them are in fact lesbians at all ? b) Does anyone but you really care tuppence either way ? c) Why do so many people discussing topics relating to personal sexuality feel the need to indulge themselves in the use of childish and grossly offensive epithets ?

Is that a yes?
TommyC - Pam St Clement has always been open as a lesbian.
as or to? (sorry- mind in gutter)
As bernardo advises, Pam St. Clement makes no secret of her sexual orientation, but Ms. Routledge chooses to be more circumspect. I wonder what the source of your enquiry is - tabloid gossip, or the strange notion that two 'possible' lesbians of a similar age, and a shared profession, would be linked romatically. Stereotyping is something gay people have to live with on a daily basis, why are you keen to perpetuate it, quitet apart from your rather childish epiteht, which has quite rightly been edited out of your question.
Pam St Clements talked about her life openly at a meeting of London University LGB Society which I attended in c.1990; I have never heard or read any gossip or speculation about the sexuality of Patricia Routledge, but that maybe because I don't read tabloids.
