Tiring of so many onscreen murders, sex & mayhem, we seek a series which is light & intelligent without being silly, eg. Madmen, The Kominsky Method, The Queen's Gambit etc.

Any suggestions please?

I don't have Netflix but I fully agree with the sentiment of your OP.

Are people really surprised by the reports of so many murders and serious assaults in the news when they are drip-fed exactly the same under the guise of "entertainment"?
