Think I'll go and sit in the conservatory and look at the blackness outside. definitely more interesting.
Load of tripe. We keep changing channels. Only decent act so far was cirque de soleil. Rod and Elvis Costello should just give up, they are getting embarrassing. Bet Rod didn’t like being first act on, he used to be top of the bill.
I bet William and Kate would rather be at home with their feet up eating cheese and onions crisps like me.
My top of the bill moment was Keala Settle with her beguiling rendition of This Is Me. Incomparable.

I always find the "obituary" section of such end-of-the-year programmes most touching. When I see how many entertainers have died in the year it is always sobering, even when I have seen their passing in the media, one by one.

If it’s as bad as some have said then it’s a good job we were Skyping otherwise I would have probably have written a few column inches on it.
I thought it was better than usual. And I still love Rod!
You could watch it on catch up Grumpy and come back for a grump.
And I agree with Choux about the obituary section. So many now in my age group. People that I have grown up and cold with.
I meant to say I thought Alan made a good job as compere and I really liked Josh Widdicombe's spot, absolutely clean, no swearing and no innuendo, well done to him. (I am showing my age here, I know.)

Acrobats, well some of us were brought up on a diet of variety shows and that has always included acrobatic acts.

I did watch it on catch up so I could ff the adverts and the likes of James Blunt. Not a bad show, otherwise.
We recorded it and spun through just to watch Bill Bailey - who was more than excellent we thought - also so did the audience by the amount of cheering that went on.
Watched it last night, well actually fast forwarded through most of it ! In my opinion, it was dire. Poor Kate and Wills having to sit through all of that ! The best, for me, was Ed Sheeran, but then I am a fan of his music and voice. I didn't think Alan Carr was funny at all.
Oh Yes, Bill Bailey was ok too. Nice man.
