Any reason to dance is good.

Happy Diwali.

Nicest quote I've seen today...

“Learn to light a candle in the darkest moments of someone’s life. Be the light that helps others see; it is what gives life its deepest significance.”

Thanks for the posts.

I generally hate dancing but I always enjoyed our staff-parent barn dances back in my teaching days. That Diwali dance looks like a slightly more complicated barn dance to me, which is probably why I wish that I'd been among the participants.
That needs more coordination than I possess, but I'd give it a go - Happy Diwali :-)

I'm please to find that I'm not the only one here with three left feet, Lie-in King ;-)
you know how it is, buenchico - children learning to tie their own laces soon find they have four feet: the left foot, the right foot, the wrong foot and the other foot.

Ah! So that's where I've been going wrong with my dancing, Jno; I've not been bringing my fourth foot into play!
Diwali ki Shubhkamnayein!

Shush Deepavali, Zacs ;-)
Am I right in thinking those dancers 5 years ago, were either Hindus, Jains or Sikhs ?

I doubt it, Khandro. Looking at the other videos on that channel, the lady posting them (who's clearly based on the north-east of England) appears to be a member of a local 'dance for pleasure' group, whose activities cover a wide range of dancing. She also, like me, seems to be a fan of Bollywood.

Other videos on that channel include Christian festivals, such as the Great North Passion, which took place on Good Friday 2014 in South Shields.
Am doing the diwali dance chasing my animals in & out of lockup with continuous fireworks around my property. This is the second night of fireworks - how much longer and more to the point its a disgusting burn up of money....and my bedroom stinks of smoke! Unhappy diwali
same here Tambo, although its better since my dog went partially deaf. Serious question...are Diwali fireworks made with some kind of incense in? The whole world reeks of sandalwood and possibly patchouli here tonight, like buring giant joss sticks. Nothing at all like the normal firework stink.
The rich shop keeper asians now own the mansion homes here. You would think, with the utter poverty in their homeland, they could find a better use for their igg!
