Hi everyone
Any suggestions on how I would go about identifying a section of Jaw bone that I have uncovered while excavating for a new driveway.

Its a five inch long section of I think lower jaw with some huge teeth still in it, a bit like human molars but more like 30-40mm in length and 10-15mm across . I guess that perhaps its from a animal than a valuable prehistoric find, but Im very interested to know what it may be from. Can anyone suggest a website or a line of enquiry.

Cheers

Google different types of animal jaws on google images. Here's a picture of a cow jaw bone.

You could always take it to your local museum if they have a natural history curator she or he could help.
