“flick and a quick for being so quick”.
I've forgotten, why white rabbits?
Pinch, punch, first of the month.
I wonder if, in the UK at least, the phrase is more commonly heard in some parts of the country than others.

I've never heard it said here in Suffolk, either in my childhood years or in the 30 years since I returned here.

Likewise, I never heard it in the two decades I spent in Sheffield.

The phrase was totally unknown to me until I found it mentioned here on AB some years back and I've still never heard it spoken anywhere at all.
I remember saying rabbits on the first of the month, but where does the white bit come in. I thought it related to the original month not having something but can't remember.
