does anyone know how to add a music file to the slide show feature is this stupid program. I am clicking on BGM and selecting the correct folder but nothing bloody happens

Why not try windows movie maker - it's free with XP if you have it. I had no problem doing what you are trying to do. Just loaded music from my MP3 library.

I've also got Olympus Master - very complicated - couldn't be bothered.
