The problem is, I don't have proper grass or real flowers, so I don't think a proper gardener would be interested.
I've never been interested in gardening and even if I was, I wouldn't be able to maintain one myself, so I have artificial grass with pebbles around the borders and artificial flowers in decorative displays with solar lights.
The problem mainly is the amount of leaves and other bits off trees that land on the grass, and weeds absolutely everywhere.
Who should I look for (to pay obviously) that would come perhaps once a month with a garden blower to blow away the rubbish and destroy the weeds, and how much would I be expected to pay for a service like this? Smallish garden and driveway at the front and medium size garden at the back. TIA.
I do some clearing/tidying from time to time for a few people in the village, and charge £10 an hour. Can often be quite exhausting and I often feel like putting my price up!
Thanks barry, I didn't think a proper gardener would be interested in a job which really doesn't need any experience, but I thought perhaps a D-I-Y person might not be interested in it either.
Lady over the road employs a retired chap to cut the grass and do a general garden tidy up, he’s not a gardener just a retired person earning a few bob.
Sorry LB I thought I'd replied to you. I always think of odd job men /handy men as someone who works inside.
I did ask a man that does odd jobs for me but he wasn't interested.
Vagus could be onto something with asking someone who is retired, I'll ask around.
Thanks to all for your suggestions.
