The format of the blank page on Word has changed. I don't know if I changed it, or if it just 'happened' - the former, most likely! However, I want it to go back to its default setting ie; 'normal' margins and page divisions. How do I do this quickly and easily?

open word, click file, page set-up and click on default.
I think you will need to look at the bottom left hand side of your page and click on the little icons it may be those that have been clicked on by mistake, they will change how the page is displayed.

Thanks for both your replies.
I tried your idea, Mavis, but it asked me if I wanted to change the default settings for Word. I clicked Yes, and the situation remains the same. The type starts right at the top of the page, and there is an underline bar, then the page endings are denoted by a dotted line which keeps moving. It's really annoying.

The idea about the 'little icons' didn't help, Ratter, because it wasn't specific enough.

Any more ideas, anyone?

Hi, me again! I've solved the problem by going to Word 'Help'. Should have done this first! It was to do with the 'White space showing' setting - it had somehow got switched off. Now back in business.

Thanks folks!
