Ok I'm sure most people are aware that Angel was cancelled a short time ago, however is there not someway that another network can purchase the rights and continue the series? I mean networks must have bought shows off one another before at some point...

Shows have moved network before, "Stargate" for example. However, the original network has to be willing to sell the rights and the new network willing to pay for them. There can be all sorts of obstacles, and I guess that at the moment no-one wants to buy (assuming WB are selling). Anyway, David Boreanaz has said he'll only do "Angel" movies. Mind you, give it a couple of years and he'll probably be glad of the work!
yes. buffy was cancelled after season 5, thats why the ending was so good but i think Paramount won the rights to carry on the show. they made season 6 and 7 but then finnished it because the actors were wanting to move on.

Im sure after what five years, one way or another he'll come to the conclusions that the shows fans deserve a proper ending to the story he's been telling... Hopefully it will be sooner rather than later...
