Further to my previous.

At night my eyesight seems to go a lot worse. I already wear contact lenses even though I'm only a -1.5 in both eyes (thats very mild short sightedness).

Is this something to worry about or does it happen to everyone....I can't say I'v ever really noticed before.

Hello again ..I would not worry too much . I am extremely short sighted and have been since the age of six when I got my first absolutely wonderful NHS specs !!.I am now drifting towards bus pass age ..crumbly round the edges !!
Just make sure you have a regular eye test in case there are any changes in your eyesight .Your optician will give you the best advice.
Peoples eyes do get tired at night especially if you have been staring at a screen all day.
also, of course, it's darker! Lights in a room are often a good deal dimmer than daylight.
Your Mum told you to eat your carrots up when you were younger didn't she?

Night vision is completely different from day vision and, in some professions where eyesight needs to be tested, they are tested separately. My night vision is awful. So much so that I won't drive anywhere unless I know the road - otherwise I have to almost come to a halt when there's another car coming in the opposite direction. Nothing to worry about, just a nuisance!
