Is there a way of removing one of those "GB" stickers from the rear of a car without damaging the paint? TIA

sticky stuff remover from Betterware the sure way.You could tryturpentine soloution.
boiling hot water over the sticker and gently pulling of the sticker should do it, do it slowly and carefully though. keep pouring boiling hot water on to it every so often to keep softening the stickey stuff!!
A hairdryer can be very effective in removing these stickers - keep the sticker hot and pull it off slowly so that it doesn't tear and leave awkward bits.
try turtle wax bug and tar remover i got a old one off using this
