pixie, perhaps fill in the forms for your patients??
I know lots of people locally between 70 and 91 years old who have had the vaccine with either no or mild 24 hour symptoms.
The paper we were given after the jab told us the likely reactions and how long they would last.
Certainly better than getting Covid.
Anyone who is apprehensive it is really nothing to worry about.
Agreed Gill. I had no complications at all.
There needs to be some balance here. If you know a couple of people that have had side effects you need to mention how many that have had none. Personally I wouldn't count people who have just a standard sore arm though I concede defining standard is difficult
I agree Rosetta.
It would also appear that there are more ladies who are vocal and chatty on this site, than men, so perhaps that’s why it appeasers more women than men have had nasty side effects.
In my personal circle, there are only two people who have had nasty side effects, a man and a woman.
We are obviously going to have side effects. I’ve not yet heard of anyone admitted to hospital with side effects ..But I still hear of deaths from covid .
My Alzheimer's mother had extreme fatigue to the point of not acknowledging anyone and not eating/drinking. They (w. the quack) put her on an end of life path...... the sis goes in (tested, covered in plastic) and breaks the cycle, the nurse letting her stay on as the Mater was taking food and fluids.....

She's now off Death Row.....put it down to a strong fatigue reaction and amongst the Cornwall Care homes, no other inmate has had such a reaction - however, a number of staff have had very strong fatigue as a side-effect - off the Ox/AstZ jab. Anyway, the next stage is alerting the Doc as to the next jab which is due in a week.

I'm on for next Thursday - in the next band - 60-70s and was notified on Wednesday......ahead of the main UK pack!

I'm keeping Friday quiet, just in case - however, a small side-reaction or intense Covid...there's no argument.
Husb is having his tomo.

Does anyone have any idea why MORE people are having side effects with this jab than the normal flu jab?

It’s quite a concern (because we’ve been undecided if Husb wants vaccine ....but he’s booked in for tomo now...)
Having mine tomorrow, will bear the form in mind should I need it.

Thanks Em.
Put in perspective please - anybody who has had a Cholera injection (given every 3 months) like to comment on the side effects of that little number!
19:13 totally agree. We should take the jab. Everyone is different and shouldn’t scare monger
the yellow card scheme is up and running for any side effect you feel moved to report

anyone can do it - it didnt like "Febrile" for some reason - and so you have to persist. Kept on marking the entry as 'please fill in and dont keave blank"

there is a report on this - hundreds of thousands of reports all considered 'minor' in 14m doses
Had mine over 24 hours ago and feel fine. Just a bit of an ache in my arm.
It's a vaccination. Sometimes it hurts and sometimes it doesn't. That's the way it is.
