convert avi to dvd but have hissing noise through the film

Got a film in avi format so i convert it to dvd with winavi 6.3 which i alwasy use. the film is very good in avi but after converted to dvd it has this hissing noise all the way through the film, this is the first time its every done this. nothing wrong with the film. thanks

If you've done nothing you haven't done before, don't forget you're completely in the hands of the individual who placed it on the site, and of its quality. Try downoading another version. If this was an avi, trying downloading an mpeg so you know you're not redownloading the same file.

Failing getting another copy, you could try downloading a new codec pack (i use k-lite mega coec pack but there are others). you could also try a newer version of WinAvi (i'm using 7.2) or nero. No guarantees though, as already said, it could just be the avi.

i find 6.3 to be really good but this the first time its done anything like this. you could be right it could the avi be the avi thanks for the posts.
