THE answers given were A 21 miles B 31 miles C 41 miles.They gave the answer as B 31 miles
The length of the tunnel is 23.5 miles. So none of the answers were correct

it's not out in the open, it's all underground but only some of it is underwater.
Just a little thought (try it!) and you will realise that the central part of the tunnel is actually under water...the two ends are (tunnelled) under ground.
Don't be daft ginge ... why confuse the poor old buffer with logic?
s-d...well, I was wondering why the concept of a tunnel under a body of water was so difficult to understand!
I think gollob thinks the tunnel starts/ends on the beaches!
Just to be clear, no part of the tunnel is actually underwater, in the same way that scuba divers are under water. The tunnel goes completely under the sea.
JimF, the Norwegians plan in-water tunnels (don't know how far they've got)
