record sales

i am looking for a website that will tell me how many albums or singles a band has sold. any ideas

hi, i don't know how much this may help you-but here goes!
if click on this link- www.wikipedia.org/wiki
on the left hand side of this page there is a search bar, enter the name of the artist you are looking for.
on the left hand side of your page of results there is a 'contents' table, look down the list and there may be a discography for the band/artist
if there is click on it and it should give you details about each album/single etc. that they have done including sales.

i don't know if they are kept up to date, and i don't know if they do this for all artists but i have tried it a few times with success.
