Most probably a scam email, Bobbi.

I'm attempting to ring Amazon but the line is busy

Thank you Corby
Friend had her packages put in half full wheelie bin. Would not have found them if she hadn't gone to put more in bin before collection that morning.

Is it because delivery people are paid such low wages and pressurised to deliver so much they have very little time to do the job properly?
I’ve never had many problems with Amazon’s delivery. Always quick, but if it’s something heavy like a 20kg bag of birdseed the drivers tend to dump it and run. I guess they don’t want me to ask them to bring it into the house.
Amazon blitz you with email updates on orders, provide a tracking facility for deliveries and even email you when the delivery is completed. With some deliveries you can even follow the delivery vehicle on a map that is updated with the vehicles whereabouts. No more afternoon snoozes if you have a delivery imminent Bobbi. (^_*)

08002792734 permanently engaged, never known this happen before

Nah , nerver nap in the daytime Togo, I wouldn't sleep at night
Where did you get that number from, Bobbi?

Hopefully not the email as that would all be part of the same scam, if it was one.

Amazon's number is 0800 279 7234 which is not the number you posted above.
Logged into Amazon today to look at some cognac for Mr BD for Christmas. Few minutes later got an email from them saying someone had accessed my account and if it was me then ignore the email but if it wasn't me then contact them immediately. Not had that one before. Is this a new security measure.

Arh ellipsis , thats a typing error from me , your number is the one that's permanently engaged

A similar email that I got BD
My son, has had to re-order twice for a package, obviously going to wrong house. He was trying to track it last time. He seen van go by...
He reported it to Amazon, again, to be told it's definitely been delivered. So someone is not returning it to the rightful owner. Think it's someone up the road from us.
I'm trying not to use Amazon now, but smaller companies, which I've had no trouble with delivery service. The last one took photo on her phone as proof.
At my last house they used to just lob the parcels over the 6 foot gates!!!

Here it is pot luck where they leave them. We've got 5 external doors so it could be by any one of them; or under the bbq or in the greenhouse. It's "hunt the parcel" here. At least I have an understanding with the postman!
^ Me too. I don't like Amazon's ethics and the way they treat their staff. I would rather use smaller companies.
