Phone behaving oddly!

Went out for about half an hour yesterday evening, and when I came back there were 2 `voice text` messages, but the call list showed that the number that had rung was our own! Firstly, being naive in these matters..what is a voice text anyway? It came from a mobile number, which we have, and was obviously junk and quite rude. My computer was on and connected to the internet...is there a connection? Do I have a problem or is it a one off?

do you mean your land line had voice messages?

It is possible now to send a text from any mobile to any landline phone...

instead of being displayed on as text your home phone rings, when you answer the BT voice(which was tom baker) not sure now..reads out the text..
perhaps this is what happened??

as i say it ispossible to text from any mobile so just call the number and you'll find out who it was..
