It's about time that someone identified the problem areas, once identified the problem can be addressed. I heard someone on R4 say that some communities were stunned when they heard about Covid - knew nothing about it. This is hard to comprehend until you know that some communities scarcely know that they live in UK and that they live by time-

One has to ask why they are here if they do not wish to assimilate and are not British in any way whatsoever?

May I refer you to the thread currently running on this site that highlights the very reason. Namely that one person, who is unfamiliar with our procedures, was able to scam £100k out of our "benefits" system claiming for parents and relatives who were not even in the Country, beside no doubt many times more than that "legally" over a period of some 8 years. Looks like about half a million quid was hoovered up by this "British family" over the years. That is why they are prepared to swim across the Med., cross the Alps on foot, treck across the EUSSR heartlands then swim across the Channel to get to Rotherham, Bradford, Leicester, or any of the other Asian ghettos that have been allowed to ferment on our lands. Disgraceful.

I hope not, JD, I'm trying to be objective - as we used to be when identifying problem areas/communities and reaching out to educate/instruct them. Such things as terrapin classrooms given over to teaching English to other nationalities in tight immigrant groups - I was part of that. We seem to have gone backwards since then and I'm certainly not talking about the millions of immigrants living useful lives working in the NHS etc..

I remember producing a globe of the world to try to help a 12 yr. old Pakistani boy who got on a plane in Pakistan and got off a plane in UK and then went to live with the family. He not only had no idea of where he was in the world, but when I showed him his journey he said 'The world be round, Miss!!!!' Bless him, he went on to get up to scratch, but that is the level of ignorance that is glossed over. It needs tackling if we want a coherent society.

A. by the simple removal of a Terrapin - this eventually reduced our intake to below economic viability and they relocated out poor kids to huge comps. on the outskirts of Calderdale where they were out of their depth. Then they closed the school and used the site for fashionable
'inclusion' courses. It was a d***ed good school and got the best CSEs in Calderdale as well as getting most kids into employment. I lost faith then.

Suggesting possible reasons for something doesn't mean it's a "subtle racist narrative". That suggestion indicates the attitude of the writer. Meanwhile it's, "not because of how that person ‘behaves’", and yet, "But with more than 50 mosques in Blackburn alone maybe it is time we looked at curtailing some timings for the foreseeable future.".
For sure we need to check why certain folk are more likely to catch the virus, but one doesn't need to accuse those looking for reasons, and suggesting possibilities, of being racist while making the genuine point.

Sorry but Mr Khan speak with forked tongue. He boldly makes the statement ‘ that coronavirus is affecting the Asian community more than other communities’ without any evidence why. He then goes on to state ‘There is a larger transmission rate’ again without any medical underpinning of that statement. He’s factually incorrect with the real reason being that once a South Asian is admitted to hospital they are more likely to die, not whether they were more likely to catch the virus.
