I purchased goods coming from China. Had confirmation and shortly after website 5 disappeared. Couldn't get hold of them so put a claim in with PayPal. The seller then sent me a tracking no but my emails kept getting returned by postmaster. I tracked the order from China and I received a cheap ring in a box. Not the patio furniture I ordered. I was then offered less than half what I paid from the seller through PayPal which I declined. Still waiting an outcome. How can they get away with this as its clearly a scam. Has anyone else come across this

Update. I heard from paypal this morning. The seller has offered full refund (I won't hold my breath) I have to return goods to China at my expense. I ordered a patio set consisting of 2 chairs and a small table. I got a metal ring in a ring box. I still think this seller is playing me although I have to say he's very clever covering his tracks. Not too impressed with PayPal as they seem to be doing everything to accommodate him. We will see.
Fingers crossed. Did you report the ad to Facebook?
Was it this one?

My friend fell for the same scam, she payed almost £40 for a sit in car for her baby grandson, she tried to trace them by going back to where she'd ordered and it was gone, FaceBook is flooded with them right now
/// paid ///
I've had another thought about this. I know you paid through PayPal but was the purchase funded from money already in your PayPal account or with a debit or credit card?

If you used a card you can claim a chargeback from the card company.

Barry1010 is waa paid with a debit card using PayPal. To go through the bank was even more rigmoral. All correspondence had to be printed off. I don't have a printer and the ring still had to be posted back. I have reported it to Facebook
Was it the same ring as the one in Bobbisox's link?
Just curious, Bobbi - how much does the car sell for in 'proper' outlets?
