Hearing

Morning Answerbankers.
My husband wears an hearing aid. The problem is the TV, at the end of a film I ask if he thought it was good to which he replies ' I DIDNT HEAR MUCH OF IT" I try not to have the TV too loud as I respect my neighbours space. I thought that I had found a solution. AFTERSOKZ WIRELESS BONE INDUCTION HEADPHONES. Couldn't wait for them to come. How disappointing, our Samsung Smart TV does not support bluetooth, I contacted Samsung regarding an adapter but was told there is nothing that can be done. My question (eventually) has anyone any ideas, I liked the idea of these headphones as he could wear them and still be able to hear whats going on around him rather than sat with full headphones on. Anyone with the same problem.

they are the ones I have Cloverjo but I have mine plugged into the radio. They are fabulous. Chris (Buenchico) advised me on them. He has them too.

but what I don't know if the headphones are plugged into the TV - can anybody else in the room hear the TV.

JennyJoan. Other people in the room can still hear the tv. It’s nice that I can have it at a comfortable volume for me while husband has it directly into his ears.

because when I walk around town the subtitles dont seems to follow me. You must have noticed this inconvenience as well - strange but true - call X files

Don't buy an expensive private digital hearing aid - My Mum found the NHS ones better.

Yes that's correct Canary - I have bought loads of private aids but these NHS ones are superb. My private ones are resting in a cupboard.

I have subtitles on the screen permanently and save my hearing aids for programmes that don't have them.

I'm sorry PP. You have lost me completely! What has walking round town got to do with it? I got the impression from rosiew that she and her husband are watching tv together at home when, as a temporary measure until they got the right headphones, I thought subtitles would help.
