I would be interested for your opinion.... I am definitely worried that this country will slowly be overtaken by the Muslim religion, helped along by this government never wishing to stand up for it's own Christian and tolerate religion [edited by ABED]. On a recent documentary 22% of Muslims wanted the whole country to be ruled under sharia law!! Why did they come over here if they find us so offensive ...and why don't they return to a country ruled under their favourite law if they feel this way. It really does worry and to a certain extent frighten me, especially after today's news. Anyone put my mind at rest?

Well El d this isn't a 'fascination' with muslims or a 'child like fear' - this is a real worry about what is happening in this country.
Re the burka, is it compulsory for women to wear this shroud ?
the shroud or whatever its called: there was a big court case in France last year, or the year before because the French actaully stood up to this and wouldn't let a muslim wear a shroud. It contravened their school uniform policy, and rightly so.when did we become wussies? it wasnt us, it was the Government we elected, it's time to be pro-active and let them know how we feel!I'm sorry but I live in a country that gives freedom of speech, i cant smoke in a public place, and yet if i say a bad word about anyone of a different culture I'm liable to be brought to court for racist offences. The minute i can afford to get out of this country i will beleive me.its sickening
Very few WM - fear should be rationally based on the percentage likelihood they will occur. To do otherwise is to be a child.

This never ending parade of little englanders with their parochial wringing of hands and gnashing of teeth about the muslim boogie men is pathetic.

Perhaps you could enlighten me about what is happening to the country? More airtime for muslims? Yawn.
I don't think it unreasonable behaviour to be concerned about a group of people who are attacking our country and way of life. Who by their own admission are waging a war against our country and religion and who are steadfastly committed to wiping out all their enemies. It seems quite a healthy concern, to me.

I expect El D is playing the fool! I am sorry that my question was edited by the editor .... the line missing was something like the muslim religion is intolerant and that is just a fact. Seems like the editor is a wimp!!

Talk about freedom of speech! ....not!!
In response to the majority of answers posted on here. I believe a lot of your views or so called opinions are stereotypical. I believe the main causal factor of terrorism and this belief of Islam or Muslims being bad is down to ignorance of culture and the faith. How many of you can say hand on heart that they have tried to understand the religion? How many of you have thought let me ask why muslims dress or do things in a particular way that is so different to us? You will find a muslim will be most happy to inform you of the reasons why they do things in a certain way. So before you judge please take time and try to learn and understand because I am sure no one here would like to be judged on baseless stories and stereotypes dependant on their race/colour/creed/religious or sexual disposition! Also before I finish this post - the survey carried out on british muslims - hello! I'm a moderate muslim no one approached me to take part in the survey so would you say they cherry picked the people they wanted to ask?! Ensuring they got the response they wanted the nation to see and fear!
