I just read that the American singer songwriter John Prime died of covid 2 days ago.
This song by him about old age seems particularly poignant at this time.

Love that, pasta.
""I'd rather sleep in a box like a bum on the street
Than a fine feather bed without your little ol' cold feet
I'd rather be deaf, dumb, and stone blind
Than to know that your mornings will never be mine

I'd rather die young than to live without you
I'd rather go hungry than eat lonesome stew
It's once in a lifetime and it won't come again
It's here and it's gone on a magnolia wind""

I’m going to have to research this dude. Poet.

Go for it Zacs...you'll like what you find.
You do that Zacs. He is a bit special. Loved him when it was not "de rigueur". I mean who likes Country Music? Dylan himself was a massive fan. Nuff said.
I’m sure I will. I’m honing my guitar skills and have already looked at chords for his songs.
No one else quite like him. Listen to" In Spite Of Ourselves" to get a feel for what he was about- "-he ain't been laid in a month of Sundays, caught him once he was sniffing my undies"- this one with Iris Dement.- no one else rights like that!!
Rest in Peace John- I will miss you.
