Sluggish performance?

I drive a BMW Compact 316Ti and although it is the least powerful model is there anything mechanical that could be causing the car to perform sluggish, it seems so slow to pull off, no pull etc.

What about the spark plugs, what elase could it be? My mate said something about something needed clearing out? Any ideas?

is this sluggishness you've noticed recently? or from day 1?, try test driving another 316 for comparison, say, from a dealer or seller

recently, my mate has the same one but you would think she has a bigger engine than me when it comes to performance

It is quite common for the air mass meter to develop a fault and it does not always show up on daignostic equip, try taking the plug off and see if it runs any better.

I used to have a BMW 713 - that was slooow too !!

I have a 320 d and had to have the air mass module replaced - it made one heck of a difference - ask the dealersip to run a dignostic check for you. You would have thought the car was mid asthma attack in the lows of the gears, and rough as a bears ar*e to boot! Now its sooo smooooooth.
