You know those people who need to use the disabled scooters per se. I see a lot of them where I live and I do wonder what happens if their battery runs out.

Scooter stops.

Sorry JJ, naughty of me.
Plug in points JJ so I told
no but that is the answer.
Presume they charge them every night and only take journeys within battery range. If it did stop you could call a taxi.
Just the same as if you were driving a car and ran out of petrol. You would call for assistance

Dave - the driver couldn't get himself and his scooter into a taxi.

Danny who do you call for the assistance.

I was in my car a couple of months ago and this very large man on his scooter had obviously conked out and he was trailing himself and the scooter on some railings. Now I would have helped but he woulda been too big for me.

jj//Danny who do you call for the assistance.//
Depending on circumstance, anyone that could assist you.If not a member of a rescue service, e,g the AA, then a family member or a friend.
imagine what it was like before mobile phones!
If a person can get on to a mobility scooter he can shuffle across in to a car with assistance if needed.
They call the AA, or walk home.
not always hc. I have known people who transfer from wheelchair to scooter at home, go round the supermarket tc on scooter then go hame and transfer back into wheelchair
