It was posted in this country too.
i have said to all my friends and relatives no more xmas cards from me so dont send me one , i send a text xmas day to wish all a happy xmas, the cost of the stamps is ridiculous (the cards are minimal cost pack for a £1) and after all it's so people you know are still remembered at that time . with a card it's open looked at and that's it ,waste of money to me,call me humbug dont care, ,i do send birthday cards though
It is getting to that time of year.
Nope. Most of my family and friends don't send them anymore.
Looks like a case of one upmanship to me.
Lol Margo. I am sitting in my local at the moment surrounded by baubles and Christmas trees. Pathetic. I'm off again to Malta for Christmas, I am certainly not ready for it now.
There’s plenty of good cheer around though, I sat down for a breather in the Metro Centre, stood up ,walked away leaving a bag with goods to the value of about £90 on the floor beside where I’d sat, I went into Boots and realised I was a bag missing, went to the information desk , an elderly gentleman had handed in, sadly I did not see him to say thank you, there’s more good than bad in this world
I personally think to get a Christmast card now is ridiculous!
I only send 3 to relatives who live away. Just a few to a couple of close family & friends, who are given them by hand or put thru letterbox.
If I receive a Christmas card before December it will go straight into the sideboard drawer.
I've got a massive parcel (containing about 20 presents) ready to be sent to my lad and his family in Sheffield. I really, really, really want to get rid of it because I keep tripping over the damned thing but, despite that desire, I simply don't think that it would be right to send it before the start of December. So the cats will have to put up with me cursing every time I try to manoeuvre around it for another couple of weeks yet!
We had one some years ago on the 1st of December
We sent it back and asked him to send it a bit nearer the day.
It's now become a bit of a family joke
