The police have just confirmed that his DNA / blood was on the attackers clothing and footwear, and they will be taking the case to the CPS on Monday to charge him. He has a history of ABH too.

The charge will be at least GBH s. 18 or attempted murder. Either way he will be going down for a good few years.
