no.
no. Makes life easier than picking the mail out of the gutter, though.
Saves on bills if you don't.
There is no legal requirement to have a letterbox on your property.

There are legislative proposal though which, if brought into law, will determine the heights of letterboxes in new properties (with existing buildings being unaffected). Depending upon the wording of any such legislation, it's possible that the new law might effectively insist that new properties must have a letterbox (but, again, existing properties will remain unaffected).
No need, especially if you have a butler to answer the door to the postman.
It will be a bit difficult for the postman if there is no letterbox. If you do 't want one on your door why not invest in a box to put on a wall
nope I haven't got one. Instead I have got a large plastic storage box.
That's the landfill bin Woofie
Many houses in our very rural area don't have letter boxes, but have lockable mail boxes at the gates, especially if they have long drives or animals on the premises. As long as there is a designated place for your post, there is no need for a mailbox. Many old properties have letter boxes which are so small they are useless.
Buenchico - that made me think of the cat specsavers advert!
When we were working with the forces we were in a flat with no letterbox, as our mail usually went to OH's work it wasn't much a problem except I worked for a local company and got mail delivered to our address. We asked the military powers that be if we could have a letter box. I was at home one afternoon and the local postman had a letter 'Sorry couldn't see a box'. When I opened it it was from the military people saying that as 'all your mail' goes to your BFPO works address there was no need for a letterbox. The irony!
Apparently postmen no longer go to properties where there are dogs loose in the garden (can't say I blame them!) so the owners of the property need a letter box outside the confines of the property unless they want their mail left in the gutter.
