I worked for JLR (Jaguar Land Rover) for many years, they have become more & more mass produced cars over the years, no longer as luxurious as they were in the past.
I was made redundant last year along with hundreds of others, and yes, it is now owned by Indians.
India is becoming a very powerful , business minded country.
No, we were based in Kent. We produced and manufactured the interiors, from the door panels through to boot/luggage shelves, all leather wrapped and hand stitched. Sadly, the last project I worked on was the new F- type Jaguar. .. very nice car, mechanically and pleasing to the eye.
Ah right, not on the production lines then. I live not very far from where Jags and Land rovers ( also the new engine plant ) are built, Jag Landrover have been laying off workers for the last few months now.
( I bet they blame brexit ).
