Yes.
Yes I think until charged they should.
They should remain anonymous until convicted.
Many people are charged and later found to be not guilty. Charging is simply putting the allegation to the accused and telling them they are going to court.
shoota I see your point but I think that would just about be impossible. Its never really been possible even if news media would co operate. The official story about the Prince of Wales and Wallis Simpson was that the public didn't know because there was a news blackout. My mother worked at Lutyens who made dresses for Mrs Simpson and she said that not only did they all know because he used to drop her off there and wait outside, but much of ordinary London knew because they were seen out together so often. In those days the news didn't travel so quickly as it does today but once someone turns up at court, or is even arrested, then it can't be kept a secret even if the press are gagged.

Some are. In fact they try to keep them anonymous even when they have been convicted.
We have a searchable sex offender register in this State (after conviction obviously) and I was talking to someone about it and they said it's kind of a double edged sword in her opinion because it gives photos and addresses, so although the community are aware of them and can keep an eye on things somewhat, other sex offenders also know where each other live and she is afraid that grooming gangs might emerge.
Yes, until charged.
