Probably some 60 years ago I saw a film which included a short scene which I clearly recall because I think it was really quite well done for the time. It involved, I think, a lady who fainted at the sight of some sort of pop-idol or something. She could not be described as stunningly good looking, wore a 50's style light coloured dress with a wide skirt to about her knees, she was really quite thin. She was with (one assumes) her husband who looked a nerdy type, tall and slim, I think he wore glasses. He caught her as she slumped with her knees splayed out - he kept bringing her knees together but they kept flopping out. Does anyone know the film ?

Skinny girls? Reedy gits like the antique VE prefer (I'm thinking back here, you understand ) more substantial women.

Notwithstanding that, here's a gorgeous skinny girl with lots of hair:

To be honest I don't think this is the one (1963) I had in mind because I don't think I ever saw this film. The film I think I remember may have been an earlier one employing the same scene, and better done - unless something similar happened elsewhere in this film. But maybe it is just my memory......
I'd be surprised if that wasn't it , do post a link if you find it.
that's a shame ,it was the only one I could find with the scene you described x
