Quite unexpectedly I am now living where I've always wanted to but didn't think I would....
Are you content where you are or is there somewhere you dream about living...and if so why?

The closest to the Yorkshire Dales that I have been is via the adventures of Inspector Banks by Peter Robinson.
By the way, that's not the title of a single book: Robinson has written a series of books involving Banks.

I have read many of his books, Sanmac.... :-)
My late teenage dream was to live in L.A.. or the out-skirts to be more specific, mid twenties always fancied Canada, somewhere. Nowadays I think I'd miss Englands green and pleasant land too much.
Almost twelve years ago, after my mother died, I moved to the village where I now live. Having moved "up north" from London in 1989, I seem drawn to smaller places .. and am very happy here. The neighbours are friendly and there are plenty of towns/cities within easy reach .. not that I would ever want to go .. as well as beautiful countryside close by. I keep working on various "projects" but the bungalow is still a work in progress. I used to dream of having a camper van and travelling around but now I prefer to stay at home.

My dream in my teens was San Francisco, Arky.....I visited twice and loved it...but not to live there....I did live in Canada but wonderful though it was and the Canadians.....great people...it was too far from Ireland....x

Smaller places suit me too now, Aurion...and as I said earlier a dream once was a camper van....but I'm enjoying just being....small village and nice folk..
Are you building or restoring the bungalow?..x
I want to move to Ireland but it also makes me feel bad. His parents are leaving Ginge their house. Wanting to move back makes me feel a bit guilty, like I want them to die or something (which I don't obviously)
