netgear dg834g modem router problems

help just up graded to aol sliver for the wirless package i have only the one laptop in the house but its telling me to connect the ETHERNET to the computer but i use a laptop???????? what do i do thanks

Were you wireless before the aol upgrade. I only ask because you need to connect router to pc via ethernet when configuring your network . After that of course you don't need the ethernet.
