true story, we drove through Truro and my mother saw this A-board' sign saying 'Polish Shop' - she says to me, "I didn't know that we have a new shop specialising in cleaning shoes and furniture."

I knew a fine colleague of Polish parentage. He was a Traffic officer and a lunatic on a motorcycle.
His name was Jan Piechoki. He was affectionally known as Pie and Chips. I read his Obit aboutnthree weeks ago in a NARPO magazine. I was gutted.
