It looks like Winter is about to show its claws, and the evenings will be dark from Sunday onwards.

Some Big Warming Wines from my recent stock-ups at Aldi, Tesco and the STWC :

It's back, it's just as good as the previous vintages - a cheap as chips Zin with all the trademark dark, fruity flavour. Drink with cheese and biscuits :

It's dirt cheap - but it's amazing quality for the price - generic vino d'italia, but in a primitivo style. Just a hint of sweetness, but none the worse for that - lovely with fish & chips :

Quite an extraordinary wine - almost full on sweet red - I ought to hate it, but would cheerfully glug any amount you put before me - excellent with a big bag of Kettle Chips :

Probably the best red for its price today - wonderfully rich and very complex aftertastes - an absolutely stunning Portuguese Shiraz. Oak, vanilla and liquorice flavours - but subtle as well as strong. The best wine for your Roast Dinner - I've laid in a few for Christmas Dinners :

Daft name - great wine - Malbec blend from Argentina - big, big wine - buckets of spicy fruity taste - have a bottle with your next Doner Kebab ...

brilliant wine if you can get it, an Argie Malbec (they also do a P-Noir), Taymente, from Western Argentina - around 12 a bottle but superb. For a white, I like Waitrose's Pecorino Superio from Fenaroli - nice and rounded, a nice acidity to it, around 8 to 10......(before 6 bottle discounts in both cases)
...and I'll remind everybody that Aldi do free delivery of wine when you spend £20+. I've had several deliveries of their wine and it's a good service. Order online, of course...ideal if you don't have an Aldi or your own transport.
The Ghost Vines Zin I can vouch for, and it's quite superior to the XYZ Zinfandel they also currently stock.
just some home made mulled wine
May grab some of the Yellow Tail jammy red roo.
lynne are you going to buy a box or just a bottle?
Offer on for 6 bottles, will do me.
ok lynne will have a look
The Tesco link in Dave's OP.
yes but lots to choose from price might come down before the end of the year?
I meant that particular wine @ 25% off for 6 bottles at the moment but of course there are lots more yes.

Off now - Night.x
nite nite lynne x

I hadn't thought of using the Jammy Roo for mulled wine - but I reckon it would be just brilliant - may get a few bottles next time I visit Mr Tesco.
