I just cut down on portion sizes and fatty things. Haven't got a sweet tooth so tht isn't a problem. I never cut anything out completely, and refuse to go on a 'diet' as such or count calories, etc. but I have to been very strong about cheese!! Eating sensibly and walking more works more for me. I always have wholemeal bread and pasta too. Fills you up more.
just to prove this point, I've just got back from weighing myself in boots and although I've put on half a stone, my body fat % has gone down. Still a bit stunned at how it's happened as I've only been going the gym once a week but hey ho!
I love swimming for both body & mind, but I also like walking for the same reasons.

I often go for 'brisk' walks with a friend of mine & we chat away together, so it's also good exercise for the jaws! ;o}

When I lived in Spain, I swam every day between end of April and end of September, as well as swimming in the sea. It never helped me to lose weight.

The only thing that ever works for me is cutting carbs (not calories) and walking as much as possible (no need to take up fitness regime).
I agree with Nom, just be happy being very, very ,very cuddly . Like what Nom is.
I have been swimming 2 to 3 times a week, and have a personal trainer once a week. On top of that I have been to the gym on my own about once a week. I have cut down (not cut out) alcohol and tried (emphasis on tried) to cut out fats and carbs. I feel fitter, but have actually put on 4 lbs !!!

They tell me it is muscle replacing fat - mmmmmm, doesn't feel like it. I call my abdomen my abomination. But it must be doing me some good? Surely? Please?
I was hoping to go swimming quite a bit on my next two weeks off from work but Im thinking you are right about it putting on weight, although you do get fitter. Im trying to lose weight so I think I`ll stick to nice long walks along the beach or clifftops where I live and it`ll be cheaper too. In fact, FREE !! so I`ll lose pounds and save pounds
maybe you haven't put weight on pa__ul . The boots could be unusually heavy
If you want to lose weight faster I advice you to take diet pills. It will help you more than just swimming. http://1loseweightfast.com/phentermine.html Also, it will be good if you combine pills and exercise together.
